Better late than never, right?
Just two weeks back, I came home from a trip of a lifetime. We started our trip in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, then headed to Bali, Indonesia to meet up with my parents, sister and Joe. We spent a couple of days on the beach then headed inland to explore the rice terraces, a beautiful waterfall, and a couple of temples.
After Bali, we made our way to Taipei, Taiwan where my sister and Joe have lived for the last few months. I experienced their routine visiting markets and running some errands which included shopping. I had several servings of tofu, scallion pancakes, boba tea, and suntory. We hiked up Elephant Mountain, made a day trip out to Juifen and had drinks on the 75th floor of Taipei 101 #thanksgoogle.
After spending 6 full days in Taiwan, Michael and Iās last leg of the trip ended in Hong Kong. Overcoming the humidity with just 24 hours before heading back to the US, we made the trip up to The Big Buddha, witnessed the light show from Kowloon of Hong Kong, and saw the sunrise over Victoria Peak!
We came home, realizing that this was the first time all six of us have gone on a trip together. Looking forward to our next adventure, wherever that may be!
