If you have followed me through the journey of this blog for the last 3 years, it comes to no surprise that I visit Chicago at least once a year. This visit was quick but eventful. I caught up with my cousin, enjoyed real fall weather, we experience the Cubs win in Wrigley, we walked from Old Town to Downtown, made our way to south side to visit my alma mater- IIT, and I even got to sync up with my sister. It never seems to be a dull moment in the Windy City, however I only have a few images to share.

This past weekend, in lieu of the holidays, I had the opportunity to take pictures of my friend Kathy and her beautiful children! With this being my first time to actually photograph a family that was not my own was exciting but also nerve-wrecking.

If you have not noticed, I love taking pictures of just about anything. My area of weakness though, is portraits. Being able to capture a candid moment is very intimidating and is probably the reason why I would never go into wedding photography. However, I have much appreciation to the art and am making it a goal to learn more and hopefully one day develop a mere talent of it. For now, I will be using my test subject(s) my husband and dog.
Note: I do plan on posting pictures of my travels from summer and onward- Grand Canyon, Seattle, and Minnesota, along with some local excursions in the next couple of weeks!
