Chicago 2015

Since I have moved back to Dallas, Texas, I have made it a point to visit Chicago at least once a year.  This trip consisted of checking a few things off of my bucket list- The Rookery and the Chicago Cultural Center, witnessing the fall colors change right before my eyes, and celebrating two of my dear friends' recent engagement!  One of the best things that is great about visiting a city that you used to live in, is that you know it. You know the shortcuts, timing, best food, and just simply what to do.

I spent part of the time being a tourist, mesmerized by all the architecture, beauty and details that are right before my field of view, while the other half just simply catching up and walking around aimlessly without an agenda stumbling on coffee shops, boutiques, and parks.

Til' next time, Windy City, I look forward to visiting you again in the near future.

ExplOregon

This past weekend, my sister and I took on Portland, Oregon.  The last time we have traveled together was over five years ago, and with her pursuing her ongoing adventure to NYC next month, a sister trip was long over due.

My sister being the planner, came up with our itinerary for our four day weekend.  We lucked out on how perfect the weather was since, Portland is prone to rain all year round.  The weekend included, exploring Washington Park, attending the Vegan Beer and Food Fest, ventured through downtown Portland with coffee and Voodoo Donuts in hand, hiked waterfalls, indulging in local cuisine, drove around mountains and beaches, and catching up with some friends.  Needless to say there was not a dull moment.

See below for our adventures.
