Typography, fonts, lettering, whatever you want to call it, I love using it.  Whether its for a portfolio, logo design, or a accent piece to a cubicle or home, I love using simple text to make a space a little more personal, and inviting.

Let me know what you think or if you have a special request for your favorite city or team.

Send A Message

We have all walked by any greeting card aisle trying to find that perfect message to send.  However, sending a letter or a care card has become obsolete over the years and more or less inconvenient and expensive.   Instead, we tend to send an email or more currently, a simple text message or a Facebook post to ensure that we convey to someone "Happy Birthday" or "I Love You."

Here is a fun and easy DIY to add that little umph to your message and literally takes minutes.

1)  Hand write or even type out your message.

The beauty about handwriting a message, is the personality.  Find a loose leaf sheet, or even rip a sheet out of your planner, notebook, sketchbook, journal.

However, if you feel like your penmanship is not that great, then type it out!  I tend to use Illustrator or Photoshop for all my design needs, however any Word Document will do just fine. Play with centering and alignment.  This is all up to you.

2) Print out your text on your home/ work printer.  I always use 8 1/2 x 11" card stock, and trim accordingly to get that "right look"

3) You have your message, now find your backdrop with great lighting.  Go outside, find a colorful wall, floor, ceiling, whatever strikes your fancy.

4) Snap a picture and voila your image is now ready to send to your friend/ family/ significant other.

Let me know what you think and share your ideas.  What worked well and what did not.

Ps.  More to come in the near future.
